To split proposed trail in 2 different uses:
"Shared use" - loop located in the WEST side of the stream
"Walkers only" - loop located in the EAST side of the stream
Background information
The west side of the loop links with the Wahine and 98 Downhill tracks. Those are high speed tracks used by experienced bikers.
We cannot see how the "one way" rule for bikes can practically be enforced.
Bikes and walkers is not a safe combination.
If the East side of the trail is kept for walkers only, it would create a safe environment for people with a lower level of fitness as well as parents with children to walk and enjoy the bush.
