Petition details
Aim: to have bike stands installed along the stretch of Cuba St connecting Vivian St and Ghuznee St. 4 to 8 stands placed parallel with the gutter on the roadside of the footpath at appropriate points would be a low cost, high benefit project.
Background information
Most days, many bikes can be seen tied to signposts along this stretch of Cuba St. This is especially true on Friday nights, when people have cycled here to have dinner with friends. This part of Cuba St is popular for cycling traffic because of it's many eating and drinking establishments. Bike stands would be easier to use and more secure for cyclists, and would encourage more people to cycle to Cuba St.
