Get Set Go!

Get Set Go! is an interactive workshop for organisers of community recreation programmes and events. You will learn how to run an event or programme that:

  • people want to come to
  • is affordable to run
  • will energise you and your organisation
  • will be fun.

Cost

$40 for voluntary organisations (ask us about our group fee);
$60 for government agencies or business organisations.

Fee includes a practical training manual.

Spread the Word

Spread the Word workshops are about creating an effective promotions plan on a budget including:

  • what really makes people turn up
  • getting the right message to the right people at the right time
  • creating key messages
  • viral marketing
  • developing flyers and posters
  • working with the media.

Includes expert guest speakers.

Cost

$40 for voluntary organisations (ask us about our group fee);
$60 for government agencies or business organisations.

Fee includes a practical training manual.

Push Play games

Interactive workshops aimed at holiday programme staff and anyone running games sessions. Learn how to plan and organise games, and use equipment, for a variety of situations and different kinds of groups, including:

  • games to fit available space
  • games for windy days
  • games for all ages
  • games for different-sized groups
  • running a range of games.

Cost

Free to community groups.

Opening doors

Interactive workshops for those wanting to open doors to recreation opportunities for people with experience of mental illness. Workshop includes:

  • what motivates and de-motivates us to get active
  • challenges that people with experience of mental illness have to getting active
  • 'activation' tools
  • combating stigma and discrimination in the sport and recreation sector.

Cost

Free to community groups.
