In this workshop, you'll find out how to promote your community event or programme, including:

  • what really makes people turn up
  • getting the right message to the right people at the right time
  • creating key messages
  • viral marketing
  • developing flyers and posters
  • working with the media.

Workshops are run twice a year or on request for groups of a minimum of 12 people.

Cost

  • Voluntary organisations / individuals: $40 per person
  • Government agencies or business organisations: $60 per person

Get Set Go!

In this workshop, you'll find out everything you need to know about running a community recreation programme or event including:

  • running events you can afford
  • designing popular programmes
  • trouble-shooting tips for events
  • promotion and publicity
  • keeping people safe.

Push Play Games

Interactive workshops aimed at holiday programme staff and anyone running games sessions. Learn how to plan and organise games, and use equipment, for a variety of situations and different kinds of groups, including:

  • games to fit available space
  • games for windy days
  • games for all ages
  • games for different-sized groups
  • running a range of games.

When

Available on request for groups of a miniumum of 8 people.

Cost

Free to community groups.

Opening Doors

Interactive workshops for those wanting to open doors to recreation opportunities for people with experience of mental illness. Workshop includes:

  • what motivates and de-motivates us to get active
  • challenges that people with experience of mental illness have to getting active
  • 'activation' tools
  • combating stigma and discrimination in the sport and recreation sector.

When

Available on request for groups of a miniumum of 8 people.

Free to community groups.
