The festival features:
- Dutch culture, family fun and entertainment on Tulip Sunday
- guided walks and activities at the Botanic Garden, Otari Wilton's Bush, and other venues around the city.
Most of the activities are free.

Take time out at Spring Festival with a delicious cake and coffee or leisurely lunch at Picnic café in the Begonia House. The café is open every day from 8.30am for snacks, meals, coffees, wines and more. Use the voucher to get two menu breakfasts for the price of one 8.30am–10am daily during Spring Festival:
Drive-by tours for rest home groups
Rest homes are invited to make special bookings for drive-by tours of the tulips each week day from 10am–3pm. It is essential to book your drive time. Phone the Treehouse on (04) 499 1400.
Venue: Main Garden
Park on Glenmore Street, or avoid parking hassles by catching the Cable Car up to the Garden. Limited parking is also available at the Lady Norwood Rose Garden.
