Advice and support at ERIC
At ERIC, the objective is to have all the key agencies and experts in one place to help business and individuals deal with post-quake issues quickly and more easily. Some of the expert advisors who will be regularly available include members of:

The centre can offer help and advice with:
- support packages
- earthquake preparedness,
- business and employment support
- and health and welfare.
The Ministry of Social Development has extended a support package for quake-affected businesses. Please check its website for more information.
The Red Cross has launched a damaged home grant to help residents whose houses have been either red or yellow stickered, or for residents who had to evacuate their home for 7 or more days following the quake.

The District Health Board is also assisting individuals who are suffering from distress following the earthquake with counselling facilitated through Victim Support. For more details, see: DHB-funded Counselling Information Sheet (278KB PDF).
