Reading Car Park & Courtenay Central and Tory Street cordon
Information about the Reading Car Park, and the Courtenay Central and Tory Street cordon.
Courtenay Central and Tory Street building and car park were evacuated following November's earthquake. Some cordons were in place on Tory Street between Wakefield Street and Courtenay Place for public safety while clearing of the demolished building site was finished. There is a small cordon in place while work is done on the pavement.
Warrants for insurance claims
If you were affected by the cordon and evacuation of buildings in the Tory Street area, you can download copies of the Warrant signed under section 129 of the 2004 Building Act.
Attached to the Warrants are cordon maps that were correct at the time the Warrants were issued. You will need these documents for your insurance company.
